Authorizing Users on a Panel and Device Approval

How to add other Nova Cloud users to your smart home panel, the e-mail approval flow and how to revoke access.

For more than one person to use a panel, the panel owner must authorize the other Nova Cloud accounts. The account that added the panel is authorized automatically.

Adding a user

  1. From the panel list, click the panel you want to work on.

  2. The Panel Management page lists the accounts currently authorized on that panel.

  3. Click the Add User button in the top right corner.

  4. Enter the e-mail address of a user who has a Nova Cloud account and click Add New User.

  5. The authorized user now appears in the panel management screen.

Approval status and resending e-mail

You can check a user’s e-mail approval state in the Status column. Once authorization completes, the status updates to Verified. The device activation e-mail is valid for a limited time; if it has expired, an authorized user can click the three dots in the Actions column and use “Resend Verification Email” to send the activation message again.

Seeing synced accounts on the panel

After the authorization steps are complete, the smart home panel needs to be restarted once. Following the restart, accounts linked to Cloud memberships appear under Settings > Users. Cloud users are highlighted in green in the list.

Revoking access

In the Cloud web interface, open Connected Devices, select one of the smart home panels you own and open its details. This area lists the users authorized on that panel. Click the three-dot icon in the Actions column for the account you want to remove and choose Delete.
