Panel Management: Copying Users and Renaming Panels

Copy users to a replacement panel when you lose access, rename a panel and check your administrator status.

The Connected Devices page shows every panel your account is authorized on, along with your role on each. Panels your account owns show an administrator status of Yes; panels you are only authorized on show No.

Copying users to a new panel

This feature exists for cases where access to the current smart home control panel is lost through hardware failure or process-related reasons. You can copy the Cloud accounts from your old panel to a newly acquired panel with a single action from the Cloud web interface.

  1. On the Connected Devices page, click the User Copying button.

  2. Select the panel you lost access to as the source panel.

  3. Select the new smart home panel that the users will move to as the target panel.

  4. When you press Copy Selected, approval e-mails are sent to the users being copied.

Renaming a panel

When a panel is added to the system its initial name is assigned automatically. You may want to rename it so it is easier to find when signing in from the mobile app. On the Cloud web page, in the Connected Devices section, click the pencil icon next to the name of a device you are authorized on, enter a suitable name and save.

Removing unreachable panels

In some cases a panel may appear active in the system yet be unusable in practice, either because of a hardware problem or because the previous user can no longer be reached. You cannot remove such a panel from your own account: the operation requires a technical review of the panel access process and is carried out only by the technical support team.
